Faith believes that from the womb, she is a writer. A scribe. A witness. A teller of fascinating stories.
“I was the baby-girl, interviewing the elders, recording their sage advice in the family bible.
What blossomed in me remains today, love of writing Story, Poetry, Play. Somewhere along the way, it became inescapable, writing is my life’s work.”
Despite her increasing local and international readers, Faith still thinks of herself as a working author.
“I must write. Create!” she smiles. “Otherwise I squander my talents, and that means I owe a debt to the Universe. Those debts must be paid.
I’ve spent over 25 years as a well-paid IT slave. (There were abilities to be proven, bills to be paid.) But the question always just below the surface of my corporate reality: What has the money cost me in creativity? Will I recover from choosing livelihood over passion? …and how long do I have left to share my true gifts with humanity?”
Despite the grueling hours required of an IT professional/new slave, a changing union-less economy, Faith persevered through corporate feast and famine. Every spare moment, every precious vacation, she produced novel, play, or poetry. Developing and preserving them until one-day became today!
Decades long dedication to artistic intention has birthed a portfolio which includes immersive historical fiction, mesmerizing poetry, & riveting family drama.
Faith’s charm makes safe work of an incisive exploration of America’s founding heredity with its inheritance issues disguised as race problems. Her wit puts a finer edge on the never-ceasing wars of the sexes. Faith allows us to witness Black feminine coming of age in a dual America.
More than thirty years later, this may be the best lemonade yet.
Faith puts it this way:
“In the past, I had no choice …and now, I have a chance!”
